ҹɫÊÓƵ

During the summer of 2024, we were honored to welcome 41 interns from over 20 different colleges to The ҹɫÊÓƵ Companies, including our subsidiaries A/Z Corporation, R. C. Stevens, and Starcon. Among them, 11 were returning participants. The group represented a diverse range of majors, including civil, environmental, industrial, mechanical, and marine systems engineering, as well as construction management, safety, business management, finance, and accounting.

In May, our first-time interns gathered at the ҹɫÊÓƵ Institute in Pittsfield, Maine, for a two-day kickoff event. The first day featured a new hire orientation, where students were introduced to the company’s history and culture while gaining an understanding of the expectations for their internship. On the second day, they split into groups to participate in hands-on experiences with our craft instructors, exploring trades such as pipefitting, line work, millwright/laser alignment, and carpentry/forms.

At the end of the summer, the interns gathered again in Pittsfield to present their summer work experiences through 10-minute presentations. They shared with the group what they learned, obstacles they faced, and challenges they overcame. This opportunity allowed each individual to gain insight into each other’s accomplishments. Additionally, four interns were selected to present their work to the Board of Directors.

We are proud of the hard work and growth our interns demonstrated, and we look forward to seeing their continued success in the future.
