At the end of 2020, Engineering News-Record (ENR) honored ҹɫ��Ƶ with an Award of Merit in its Mid-Atlantic 2020 Best Project Awards in the water/environment category for the Brighton Dam Rehabilitation project in Brookeville, Maryland. The scope of work included resurfacing the concrete spillway of the dam, replacing all of the original intake gates and bar screens, and rehabilitating 13 tainter gates, also known as radial gates.

Although the project had its challenges, including a record rainfall of more than 70 inches in 2018 that caused numerous flooding events, the team pulled together to find solutions to keep the project moving forward. Through collaboration, innovation, and a can-do attitude, the team completed the project ahead of schedule and below budget, with zero lost-time injuries.

ENR judged projects by their strength in four categories:

• Innovation and contribution to the industry and community
• Design quality/craftsmanship and aesthetics
