ҹɫ��Ƶ’s Power and Energy Team was recently recognized by American Electric Power (AEP) with the 2020 Contractor Safety Award. The Safety Award is presented annually to AEP’s top three contractors (small, medium, and large contractor categories) and considers contractors from all of AEP’s operating territories. This award acknowledges companies that excel in protecting their team and have leadership’s commitment in achieving zero harm.

Pete Vigue, Chairman of The ҹɫ��Ƶ Companies, presented the award to Paul Franceschi and Josh Gale who accepted on behalf of all the ҹɫ��Ƶ team members and subcontractors who have worked on ҹɫ��Ƶ’s AEP projects since 2015. Paul Franceschi notes, “AEP has helped our entire business unit improve. Everyone should be very proud of this recognition.”

ҹɫ��Ƶ’s first AEP project was in 2015 in Salem, Virginia. Since that time, ҹɫ��Ƶ has worked on 16 AEP projects across Indiana, Ohio, Virginia, and West Virginia. This includes the first 138 kV BOLD® (Breakthrough Overhead Line Design) double circuit transmission line in Indiana. BOLD® is an AEP patented, high-capacity, high-efficiency, transmission line design with a low-profile, compact configuration. The success of this project has led to additional opportunities with AEP.
