ҹɫ��Ƶ’s team who worked for more than a year and a half on the P-310 Dry Dock Super Flood Basin watched as the 5,338-ton concrete structure left ҹɫ��Ƶ’s Ricker’s Wharf facility in Portland, where it was built, down Fore River to its permanent home at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. It was a proud moment in the summer of 2021 for the team and the company, but those moments of pride seem to keep coming. In the fall of 2022, the project earned ENR New England’s Best Airport/Transit project, and was a finalist for ENR’s Project of the Year. Additionally, the project earned an Eagle Award from the Massachusetts Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC MA) and an Excellence in Construction Award from Associated Builders and Contractors of Connecticut (CT ABC).

Rounding out 2022 in charitable fashion, the team members at ҹɫ��Ƶ’s Corporate Headquarters chose 12 local charities to each receive a $1,000 gift from the company. Departments got together at the beginning of December to deliberate or vote on which local nonprofit they wanted to honor, and then worked with the organization to visit the office and talk with team members about their mission and vision.

ҹɫ��Ƶ is proud to have recently been named as one of the 2022 Best Places to Work in Maine for the second consecutive year. Just as ҹɫ��Ƶ’s reach goes well beyond Maine with offices and team members working across the United States, so does our culture of treating people with respect and fairness. After all, ҹɫ��Ƶ’s foundation was built on the motto: “It’s all about people.”

ҹɫ��Ƶ Corporation and Starcon International, which is part of The ҹɫ��Ƶ Companies, have once again earned a National Safety Pinnacle Award from Associated Builders and Contractors, which was presented at the 32nd annual Excellence in Construction® Awards during ABC Convention 2022 in San Antonio earlier this year.
