The project was constructed within the confines of adjacent structures on an active healthcare campus and occupies the hospital's old main entrance area. The project included extensive enabling projects and utility relocations to prepare the building site. Detailed logistics planning and close coordination with ongoing hospital operations were critical throughout the project to maintain timely phase changes and budgets and to ensure the safety of patients, employees, visitors, and guests. The project featured a complex substructure design including piles and pile caps, spread footings, and retaining walls, all constructed in close proximity to existing structures. The hospital remained 100 percent operational during construction.
