Scope of Work
ҹɫÊÓƵ served as Construction Manager for a new 12,750-square-foot addition to the existing Offshore Wind Laboratory, comprising a 9,000-square-foot wave tank and 3,750 square feet for robotics. The addition is approximately 45 feet high to accommodate the Tunnel Positioning System, which is similar in height to an overhead bridge crane.

- Managed sitework, including mass excavation and backfill for the wave basin; new underground electrical power feed; and water, sewer, and storm drain systems
- Constructed wave basin using shotcrete

The nine-month accelerated construction schedule occurred in tandem with daily college classes. Precise coordination with The University of Maine, as well as on-site team members and trade partners, was critical to eliminating any impact on the students and faculty as a result of project operations.
